DNA confirms identity of possible victim of serial killer

In 2020, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office enlisted the help of Astrea Forensics founder Ed Green to process DNA samples from human remains discovered 27 years ago for purposes of genetic genealogy. Using the resulting DNA data, the CCSO and collaborating agencies were able to identify the remains as belonging to Gerald (Jerry) Lombard. Mr. Lombard is possibly the victim of serial killer Daniel Conahan.
